For small businesses Read the lease, the vendor agreement and the customer contract before you sign.

We read each contract from your side and show you the terms that cost money or time.

One real example

A real master services agreement, filed with the SEC, read by BeforeJD.

7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, [the Firm]’s aggregate liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Company to [the Firm] during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. In no event shall either Party be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

What the read found

A one-sided dollar cap

Only the firm’s liability has a dollar cap.

What we look for

  1. What you owe if something goes wrong: indemnities, limits and insurance.

  2. How it renews, and the notice date you must not miss.

  3. Who pays for repairs, changes and the end of the term.

Everything that comes next

After the read, BeforeJD returns a marked-up copy with tracked changes and an email that asks for them.  It also drafts new agreements, keeps your contracts and their dates in one place, and teams and organizations can collect signatures.

Common questions

Can my team use one account?
Yes. Teams and organizations share contracts, and they can also collect signatures. See Teams for licenses.
Do you keep my contracts?
Your uploaded file is deleted after seven days unless you choose to keep it. Our Trust page explains what we keep and why.
Is this legal advice?
No. BeforeJD is not a law firm and is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.

What it costs
