BeforeJD gives your contract a careful, plain-English read. Upload a contract and receive a detailed risk report within minutes, identifying problematic clauses, missing protections, and negotiation opportunities.

Each contract you read uses one read. Your first read is free. After that, reads are bought in packs of 1 ($4.99), 5 ($19.99), or 10 ($34.99) and never expire. Buy reads on the web under Reads, or in the iOS app. Reads work in both places.

Results appear in the app as soon as the read finishes. You also receive a full report by email with the original contract attached.

BeforeJD supports PDF, Word (.docx), plain text, and camera-scanned documents up to 50 MB. For a scanned copy, the changes are marked on the page.

Contract text is transmitted to our analysis services solely to generate your report. We do not sell your data or use it to train models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

On the web: open Settings, go to Closing your account, and select Delete account. In the iOS app: tap the menu icon, then Profile, then scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. Either path deletes, at the time of your request, your analyses and the reports they contain, your drafts, the contracts you kept with their search index, your profile and your account record, and removes the files stored for all of them. An organization you created passes to its longest-standing remaining administrator, then member, then viewer. If you are the only member of an organization, your account cannot be deleted until that organization is resolved, and we tell you so when you try. Completed signing records are kept as the record of the agreement for every party to it. Any remaining personal information is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Email info@beforejd.ai with the email address on your account, the approximate purchase date, and your Apple ID if you bought in the iOS app. We will investigate within one business day and restore your reads if the charge is confirmed.
